Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Punakha

  • Arrive at Paro International Airport.
  • Meet your guide and drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan.
  • En route, stop at the Dochula Pass to admire the panoramic views of the Himalayas.
  • Visit the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens at Dochula Pass.
  • Continue the journey to Punakha.
  • Check into your hotel and rest for the evening.

Day 2: Punakha Sightseeing

  • Visit Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful and historically significant fortresses.
  • Explore Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the “Temple of Fertility,” dedicated to the Divine Madman.
  • Afternoon at leisure to relax or explore the surrounding area.
  • Optional: Hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten for panoramic views of the Punakha Valley.
  • Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 3-5: Punakha Tshechu
